Delaware County 2006 Digital Orthophoto & Topography Datasets
General Information:
In early 2006, Merrick & Company was contracted by Delaware County, Ohio to provide LIDAR and aerial photography acquisition accurate to support development of two-foot (2') contours and half-foot (0.5') pixel resolution color orthophotography for the entire county. The county was flown in April of 2006 and deliverable products include; color imagery in MrSID format compressed color imagery with associated world files, 3D breaklines, contours, spot elevations, bridges and obscured areas in ESRI Personal GDB, shape file, and DXF formats. Area of the project is approximately four hundred eighty-eight (488) square miles.
The contour dataset, in ESRI PGDB and Shape file format, consists of 2-foot contour interval polylines for 1,555 tiles in Delaware County, Ohio. The contours were interpolated from a DTM surface of LIDAR derived mass points and photgrammetrically compiled breaklines.
The spot elevation dataset, in ESRI PGDB and Shape file format, is of elevation points for Delaware County, Ohio. Spot elevations were placed at all road intersections and significant, photogrammetrically visible, topographic highs and lows.
