Work for the U.S. Census Bureau
The United States Census Bureau will hire thousands of people around the nation to conduct the 2010 Census. That means hundreds of job opportunities right here in Ohio. The Delaware County, Ohio area is part of the Detroit Regional Census Office.
Hiring began in the fall of 2008 and early 2009. However, the majority of temporary Local Census Offices (LCOs) will open in late 2009 with peak hiring taking place in the spring of 2010.

Census Job Testing was held in Delaware County on January 12th, 2010
Those interested in applying for Census jobs had an opportunity to take a test at 3 pm, 4 pm, or 5 pm at the Hayes building in Room G-22. The available positions were: enumerators, crew leaders, crew leader assistants, recruiting assistants, and census clerks. For more information and to view a practice test go to: Census jobs website.
