The Thematic Maps Tab allows you to display by various themes that are stored in Parcel, Census Block, Census Block Group and Census Tract layers.

Appraised Value/Land Use Search/Year Built/Living Area:  You must first search By PIN, By Name, By Address, or By Intersection. Once your parcel is retrieved it will display with red lines on the map screen. You will then need to click on The Thematic Maps button as shown above. Click on the Parcel drop down list and select Appraised Value, Land Use, Year Built, or Living Area as shown below. Your screen will automatically redraw the area of interest with the updated information. To view your updated information on the legend you need to click on the (Legend) icon under the tools menu. The legend displays information for the Appraisal Values, Land Use, Year Built, and Living Area. You may also identify various layers at any time using the identify tool and selecting a layer from the target layer drop down list.

Note: You can identify Appraisal Values, Land Use, Year Built and Living Area values with the identify tool.

Census Block Search: You must first search By PIN, By Name, By Address, or By Intersection. Once your parcel is retrieved it will display with red lines on the map screen. You will then need to click on the Thematic Maps button and select a category from drop down list under Block. You have the option to make a selection from the list shown below. Your screen will automatically redraw the area of interest with the information that you selected under Block. To view your updated information you need to click on the (Legend) under the tools menu. You may also identify various layers at any time using the identify tool and selecting a layer from the target layer drop down list.

Census Block Group Search:  You must first search By PIN, By Name, By Address, or By Intersection. Once your parcel is retrieved it will display with red lines on the map screen. You will then need to click on the Thematic Maps button and select the Block Group drop down as shown below. You have the option to make a selection from the list shown below. Your screen will automatically redraw the area of interest with the information that you selected under Block Group. To view your updated information you need to click on the (Legend) icon under the tools menu. You may also identify various layers at any time using the identify tool and selecting a layer from the target layer drop down list.

Census Tract Search: You must first search By PIN, By Name, By Address, or By Intersection. Once your parcel is retrieved it will display with red lines on the map screen. You will then need to click on the Thematic Maps button and select the drop down under Tract. You have the option to make a selection from the list shown below. Your screen will automatically redraw the area of interest with the information that you selected under Tract. To view your updated information you need to click on the (Legend) under the tools menu. You may also identify various layers at any time using the identify tool and selecting a layer from the target layer drop down list.

Note:  You should always check the category that you have selected vs. the legend to know what each class on the legend means.
