This dataset consists of all Parcels within Delaware County, OHIO.
This dataset was created to facilitate and enhance the property appraisal process.

There are inherent errors and limitations associated with this type information. The horizontal positional accuracy is tested by visual comparison of hard copy plats to the actual data received. We have also checked older parcels with the new Orthophotos for positional accuracy.

Parcel identification number
A unique identifier for each parcel within a subdivision. There are two different ways you will see the sub_id. Anything recorded prior to 2006 will be will show the first two numbers representing the township the subdivision resides in, the next two numbers represent the cabinet the subdivision is recorded in and the last three digits represent the page number the subdivisions was recorded on. Anything recorded in 2006 to the present will show the first two numbers representing the township, the next 4 will be the year recorded, and the final numbers will represent the ordering of documents being recorded.

The SPLITDATE field was added to the parcel layer in January of 2008. 1) All parcels that existed prior to January 1, 1998 and were not in a subdivision or condominium were assigned a time stamp of “88888888”. 2) Starting in the second quarter of 1998, new parcels were assigned a time stamp for the quarter that they were created (i.e. new parcels created between 19980401 and 19980701 were assigned a “19980701 time stamp). 3) Every parcel in a subdivision and condominium is assigned with the date that the plat was recorded. 4) All dedicated road right of ways are assigned a “99999999” split date. 5) Starting in January 2008, every new parcel is assigned the “exact” date that they were recorded. 6) Split dates do not change for combinations or parcels with new surveys.
